Chemical Properties: Grey or black solid with a garlic-like odour.

Application: Mainly used as materials to produce Acetylene Gas, Chloroprene Rubber, Calcium Cyanamide, Acetate Acid, Trichloroethylene and be as remover of Sulfur in steell industry and metal bonding and cutting, etc.

Storage and transportation: Calcium carbide pail should be sealed. Stored in dry, cool and draughty place. Should separate from other combustible and explosive material.

Useage:
1. The main raw material for producing acetylene gas.
2. Cutting and welding for metal material.
3. To synthesize polyvinyl chloride(PVC).
4. Fruit catalyst.
